I guess one reason I get really annoyed when I get bad or rude service is because I have grown to expect service with a smile. Here in the South the saying "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar" is something I have always taken to heart. I have gotten good friendly service recently in California, and in D.C. and other locations outside of the South too though, so there may be something to this post at Betsy's Page.
