I'll offer your readers a surprising defense of George Bush, and invite comments on what they think about this very unusual premise.

I recently pondered that perhaps no president first elected in the year 2000 could have succeeded because of the "curse of Tecumseh", the Native American Indian leader whose death was avenged by his witch doctor brother who conjured up great spiritual evil to destroy every American president elected since 1840. Once every 20 years, an American presidency would be marked by evil, according to the curse.

This curse originated when President Henry Harrison, who was elected in 1840, became ill during his inauguration, caught a bad cold that resulted in pneumonia and died on April 4, 1841. Harrison was the former U.S. Army commander responsible for an attack and slaughter on Native American Indian leader Tecumseh who united several Indian tribes together as a united force to challenge the U.S. Army a few years before. His witch doctor brother used a dark spiritually evil curse to damage the American government in revenge for the attack by Harrison's army units.

But instead of the spiritually evil curse stopping with Harrison, Abraham Lincoln was the second victim American president elected in a year ending in an "0", in 1860, only to later die in office, this time by assassination.

In 1880, President James Garfield was elected, only to later die in office by assassination.

In 1900, President William McKinley was elected, only to later die in office by assassination.

In 1920, President Warren Harding was elected, only to later die in office by a cerebral hemorrhage

In 1940, Franklin Roosevelt was elected president, only to later die in office by a cerebral hemorrhage.

In 1960, John Kennedy was elected president, only to later die in office by a shocking assassination in Dallas, Texas.

In 1980, Ronald Reagan was elected president, only to be very seriously wounded by a mentally ill man, narrowly surviving this serious attack on his life only a few weeks after his January 1981 inauguration.

In 2000, Vice President Al Gore won the popular vote by 543,816 votes over challenger George Bush, but Gore strangely lost his home state, which has never happened before for a winning candidate for president putting him several votes short in the electoral college tally. This put the razor close popular vote in Florida responsible for deciding the election outcome, and by only a 537 vote margin, challenger George Bush won Florida's electoral votes and the 2000 presidential election. Only about 8 months after his Jan 2001 inauguration, the nation was savagely attacked by a spiritually evil organization, Al Qaeda in the 9/11 attacks, taking around 3,000 lives, and taking President Bush off any intended presidential agenda and characterizing his administration by combat in Afghanistan and then later in Iraq against Muslim extremism. Iraq then went poorly and became a political disaster for both Bush and members of his political party who lost significant power in the 2006 elections.

The interesting question is was spiritually evil elements working to prevent success of any president elected in the year 2000. Al Gore was denied the presidency he won by a weird quirk of losing his home state. George Bush was elected by the electoral college, only to have his presidency doomed by combating a spiritually evil organization, Al Qaeda that backfired when the battle was extended into Iraq, unleashing 1,300 years of Muslim sectarian violence by Sunni and Shiite factions. In the Old Testament, ancient Israel sometimes faced defeat at the hands of weak opponents as a matter of judgement when they drifted too far from loyalty to God. Terrorism seems to be an instrument of judgement that God sometimes uses when a nation drifts too far from God as evidenced by ancient Israel.

Was the presidency in the year 2000 doomed by any winner to failure because of the continued chain of spiritual evil since 1840 because of the Native American Indian witch doctor curse meant to avenge Tecumseh? Was any president elected in 2000, going to ultimately fail because great spiritual evil was present that would severely damage that presidency and make it a failure? Is Al Qaeda the greatest agent of spiritual evil in the world, a Satanicly inspired organization that murders civilians by cowardly car acts of terrorism, the agent by which the winner of the 2000 presidential election was bound to fail?

I invite your readers to ponder all these very strange questions. Certainly anyone can find some other explanations that consider more secular explanations, but do not take into account the role of this unbroken chain of spiritual evil to destroy an American presidency once every 20 years. Maybe George Bush was simply to become yet another victm of this evil, where his presidency had no chance at all to succeed from the very beginning.

Al Gore loses an election that normally would have been won by the significant 543,816 margin, then challenger George Bush has his presidency ruined by great spiritual evil. Perhaps the 2000 election was just another doomed presidency in this unbroken chain of spiritual evil and curses since 1840.

We need to remember these so called conservatives who care only about the adulation of the MSM. That's why I like State Senator Fred Smith. He's no fair-weather friend of President Bush. He sticks to his guns.
