The Number One Reason John McCain Should be President
Here is an excerpt from my column at Townhall today:
Recently on a talk radio show, the guest, a Democrat, said there was little difference in policy between John McCain and the two Democrats running for President. Many of those calling in agreed. Considering McCain’s recent comments on global climate change and his position on some other issues I can understand why some might have that impression.
If voters are convinced there would not be much difference in policy between a McCain and an Obama presidency, it is likely the majority will go for the young, charismatic candidate who would make history as the first black President. If they vote for Obama thinking he would be the same on policy as John McCain, though, they will be making a big mistake.
On some of the most important issues the country faces there are huge differences. On one issue in particular, national defense, McCain has demonstrated that he is the only candidate of the three we can afford to have as President at this time.

Could someone please hand me a neoconservative barf bag?
And while your at it, ponder this...Lawrence Korb, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Ronald Reagan is on the foreign policy team of......Obama.
Real Conservatives know that it is Constitutional government, most notably private property rights, from which we derive liberty -- not elections.
And that Constitutional democracies do not form based on what we are doing in Iraq.
One only need to read the writings of Conservative philosopher Edmund Burke to understand this. As well as William F. Buckley Jr. who noted long ago that Bush's foreign policy is a farce.
See how well you Republican hacks do this fall without Conservatives putting forth their efforts.

There are other differences, tax policy, Federal spending, Supreme Court Judges to name a few.

Neither candidate believes national defense includes our own borders or the removal of untold millions of illegal aliens,so McCain thinks national defense means the defense of other nations and Obama thinks national defense means defense of no nation,McCain didn't call for impeachment of a single overstepping federal judge even after members of The US Supreme Court cited foreign laws in opinions so why believe he will attempt to get non-activist judges past a Democrat controlled Senate, instead I think he will do his infamous reach across the aisle do as the far left libs want maverick thing.
