The pumpkin above was carved a few years ago by my husband. We have a big pumpkin on the front porch this year, but I am not sure whether or not we'll be carving it. Kind of depends on how much time we have. I got a lot of great ideas for pumpkin decorating from my daughter's fall festival at school recently. Each class decorates a pumpkin and sells them via silent auction at the event. Here are a few of my favorites:




Wow, Lori, I am impressed with your husband's talent! Every year I swear I'm going to try something challenging, and every year I end up carving the same basic face. I always had a devil of a time using a knife.
Then this year I saw Martha Stewart carve one using a keyhole saw. She said it was much easier than using a knife. So I bought one. She's right; it IS much easier than a knife!
So what do I carve? The same ol' basic jack-o-lantern face.
